We love this week's stem friend "berry" much! Introducing...
Snowberry is in the honeysuckle family and can grow in shrubs up to 6 feet high! It flowers with small white and lavender berries and blooms mostly from May to September. The branches of Snowberry were used to make brooms and arrow shafts in the past; the Native Americans used the fruit of Snowberry as a natural shampoo due to its foaming properties); and crushed Snowberries are used in Russia as a natural lotion. Watch out- they are toxic to ingest, but are oh so magical to look at!
